SUMMARY:Alice is Missing
DESCRIPTION:A silent role-playing game about the disappearance of Alice Briarwood\, a high school junior in the small town of Silent Falls. Players will take on the roles of Alice’s friends and attempt to solve the mystery of her disappearance. \nThe game is played live and without verbal communication. Players inhabit their character for the entirety of the 90-minute play session\, and instead of speaking\, send text messages back and forth to the other characters in a group chat\, as well as individually\, as though they aren’t in the same place together. \nThe main narrative of the game is played in silence while a soundtrack plays in the background. This is a heavily thematic and emotive roleplaying experience. The game is light on rules and focuses on storytelling\, character relationships and worldbuilding. No specific RPG experience is required but players will need to be willing to get fully involved in roleplaying and storytelling (roleplaying is all done in the first person and the story is created and told by the players not by the GM) \nContent and player safety:\nThis game inherently deals with a missing teenage girl in a small town\, and all of the topics that can arise when that happens. Because of this\, themes like tense family dynamics\, grief\, death\, violence\, jealousy\, and helplessness can and often do come up during the game. \nThe game is intended to be an intensely immersive experience but players should not be made to feel uncomfortable by anything that comes up. \nWe will be using safety tools including an X card and lines & veils\, so that players can remove any content or themes they are not comfortable with\, both before and during the game. \nThe game is played using a WhatsApp groupchat. Players will need an internet connected (and charged!) smartphone with WhatsApp installed. It will not be possible to play without this. \nThe main narrative of the game is played with a 90 minute timer\, total play time including setup\, character creation and debrief is expected to be around 2.5-3 hours. \nThis game is for players 18+ only. \n[4 spaces available]

Can the Faithful work together to identify and banish them before the Traitors murder them in their sleep? \nWe’ll meet every morning (or ‘mourning’!)\, where the remaining players find out who got murdered in the night. And every evening for the Round Table where the remaining players decide who to banish. \nThere’s also daily missions\, which gives the Traitors an opportunity to kill again\, the Faithful a chance to learn information about the Traitors and one lucky player will find a shield to protect them from murder and banishment. \n  \nSigning up for this event acts as signing up for the whole 3 day game\, with the following specific meeting times: \nFriday 8-9pm \nSaturday 9.30-10am Mourning Briefing & 6-7pm Round Table \nSunday 9.30-10am Mourning Briefing & 5.30-7pm Round Table \nFollowing registration\, you will be expected to use a dedicated channel within the Festival Discord and complete a pre-game quiz so the games-master can gather secrets and prepare the game – Please only sign up for this event if you are able to engage with the host via discord in the week or so before the festival. DESCRIPTION:You have been tasked with rescuing the villagers that have been going missing from your home hamlet of Floxfield\, the town elders look to you in this time of desperation. The keep looming high on the hill has long been a source of fearsome tales and terrible legends\, all clues point to this location for the source of the abductions of your fellow towns folk.as the towns heroes you don your armour and raise your sword and swear to put of a stop to the era of fear to the hamlet of Floxfield.\nDuration of the game 3-5 hours \nContent warning: Body horror\nX card will be in use \nThe system: Deathbringer/Dungeon crawl classics \nDeathbringer is a rules light version of the world’s most popular roleplaying game and plays very similar to DnD 5e or other retro clones of DnD. The game does have some differences which I think will make it a lot of fun for a one shot\, highlights are deathbringer dice which are dice that allow you to roll a D6 to increase a D20 roll or do D6 extra damage or a D6 to reduce damage. \nSpells do not have slots but use a roll over system and the higher you roll the more potent the spell\, for this we will be using DCC (dungeon crawl classics) spell tables for. Spend a Deathbringer Die to make one extra attack. Second attack at 5 th level. To start: doublet\, shield\, 2 weapons\nGRIMSCRIBE Hit Dice= d6. Cannot wear armor. No spell slots. Roll to cast\, DC 10. On a roll of Natural 1 gain 1 Corruption and roll on the Miscast Table. Gains spells by finding scrolls\, spell books\, or by having a friendly higher-level magic user teach them to you. You are a living grimoire\, must tattoo all spells on your skin.
