Strange Games runs the Strange Games Festival (late August), the Strange Games Campout (mid July) in Sussex, and new this year, Strange Games Bristol (end of July). All share the same inclusive welcoming vibe, board games, role-playing games, social deduction, food and drink, marquees, glamping, camping and so much fun!
If you’re wondering which to come to, here’s a good quote from one of our campers: “The campout was much more chilled and was a great break but the festival has more of a party atmosphere that also brings me joy.”

The Strange Games Campout
The Strange Games Campout 2026 runs from 4pm on Friday 10th July through to 10am on Monday 13th July 2026.
The Campout is our smaller, cosier Sussex event. It caters for 200+ happy campers, and has boardgames (including our board game library), RPGs and social deduction games. Unlike the Festival, it doesn’t have organised activities or games (but you’re welcome to arrange your own), the focus is on providing a lovely sandbox for you to find your own fun and make new friends. It has food stalls, a bar and coffee, so you can get on with gaming!
Expect the unique Strange Games vibe – chilled, inclusive and fun. Come to find the friends you haven’t met yet.
The Strange Games Campout is at Bushy Wood Activity Centre, Sussex. You can optionally book a pre-pitched tent.
More tickets available 1st February 2026.
